      History of the Gin Fizz

The Gin Fizz dates back to the 19th century and gained prominence during the golden age of cocktails. Its simplicity and refreshing nature made it a favorite, appearing in Jerry Thomas’s Bartender’s Guide in 1887. The drink’s effervescence, courtesy of soda water, was revolutionary at the time, creating a lighter, sparkling gin cocktail that still reigns as a classic today.

      Tips and Variations

Chilled Soda Water: Use well-chilled soda water to keep the cocktail cold and crisp.
Fresh Lemon Juice: Always squeeze your lemons fresh for a bright and zesty flavor.
Customize the Sweetness: Adjust the simple syrup to suit your personal taste.

      Variations:
      • Ramos Gin Fizz: Add egg white, cream, and a touch of orange flower water for a creamy, frothy version.
      • Cucumber Gin Fizz: Muddle fresh cucumber slices with the lemon juice for a cooling twist.
      • Lavender Gin Fizz: Infuse the symple syrup with dried lavender for a floral note.
